Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Irritable Bowel Syndrome or IBS is a disorder of
the intestines that leads to cramps, gas, pain and bouts of diarrhea alternated with constipation.
The term IBS is new but the difficulty has been to specifically diagnose this condition. It has often been misdiagnosed for years as colites or spastic bowel.
Yet, unlike colites, gastrites or crones disease no
inflamation occurs. An IBS does not lead to bleeding
or cancer. Physicians think IBS may occur because
some people have bowls with hyper sensitive nervous or hormonal controls. Stress and meals high in fat are also implicated. Physicians are devided about the treatment or evenly existance of IBS.
