Women in Red Attract Men More
In a study that has powerful implications for dating, the fashion industry, product design and marketing, the color red was shown to distinctly boost men's attraction to the opposite sex.
"It's fascinating to find that something as ubiquitous as color can be having an effect on our behavior without our awareness," said Andrew Elliot, a professor of psychology at the University of Rochester in upstate New York. (Read more about Women in Red Attract Men More)

The Cause of Chronic Tension Headaches
Poor posture is at the root of chronic tension headaches.
An article written by holistic care author Doug Fogel explains how having a tight neck, shoulders, and upper back contribute to chronic tension headaches. He says the tension is caused by poor posture and/or accident-related trauma. Conventional treatments like pain medication have little effect on long term relief. The only way to relieve symptoms is to treat the cause of the tension and address instances of poor posture. (Read more about The Cause of Chronic Tension Headaches)

Lasting Effects of Migraines
A recent study reveals that migraines act as mini strokes that can have a lasting impact on the brain.
Scientists at the University of Rochester in New York and a team at the Danish pharmaceutical group Novo Noridsk have conducted studies that suggesst Migraines may have a lasting effect on the brain. Based on studies with mice, these scientists discovered that during a migraine, brain cells underwent change in the cortical spreading depression process that is similar to that of a stroke or head trauma. This left parts of the brain starved for oxygen and altered in damaging ways. (Read more about Lasting Effects of Migraines)

Migraine and Heart Hole - PFO
Around twenty million Americans suffer from migraine headaches. Many can be treated with medications, but there are some who are still in pain.
Now, it appears that fixing a problem in the heart may help get rid of migraines!
This is just starting to be investigated, but there is a growing body of evidence, and belief, that closing a hole in the heart which many people—fifteen percent of us--have, could be the answer for migraine headaches in those who continue to suffer.
The P.F.O. occluder blocks off a hole in the heart called a P.F.O.--a patent foramen ovale. It’s a small opening normally seen in fetuses between the upper chambers of the heart, the right and the left atrium. (Read more about Migraine and Heart Hole - PFO)

Health Wrap: Studies on Botox, Migraines and Drinking
Researchers have discovered a novel way to increase the potency of Botox, which would translate into less frequent injections and perhaps even enhancing its cosmetic benefits, and it might mean lower prices for the popular wrinkle-remover.
In a medical setting, small doses of the Botox toxin causes localized, temporary paralysis that erases wrinkles and unwanted muscle spasms.
The researchers developed a synthetic molecule that can ‘super-activate’ the neurotoxin, thereby increasing the toxin’s paralyzing effect by as much as 14 times that of the untreated toxin. (Read more about Health Wrap: Studies on Botox, Migraines and Drinking)
